Autumn Breaks
Summer is now just a distant memory and the leaves are now turning gold and will soon be falling. Pheasant’s Roost is proving very popular with our visitors and every weekend until Christmas is now booked. We still have some availability mid week, so if you have any holiday left at work, or you are free during the week then why not take advantage of this? A three night stay starts from as little as £199.
Although the best of the weather has now passed we do get some gorgeous crisp days which are great for bracing walks through the Yorkshire Wold countryside. Some local attractions are open year round, such as Castle Howard and Dalby Forest which aren’t as busy which means shorter queues! There are also some lovely market towns to visit, such as Malton, Helmsley and Pickering. There are lots of beaches along the east coast, and the city of York has much to offer

Pheasant’s Roost has now been open for a month and we’ve been busy. Feedback has been great and our visitors are loving our little retreat in the North Yorkshire countryside. It seems like a long time ago since we set out on our shepherd’s hut adventure but finally we are open and have welcomed our first visitors this weekend, who came with their dog, Billy. They gave us the thumbs up, so if you fancy a little break from your usual routine then please get in touch. Our average nightly rate is £80 a night. The rate varies depending on the time of year and we do offer discounts for longer stays.

Our shepherds hut is being built
After days of deliberation, and research into the many Shepherds Huts available we’ve decided to use Hampshire Down Huts to build our beauty! Harry has been superb, giving us lots of ideas along the way. He’s happy to accommodate our wishes so that we can offer you a truly perfect shepherds hut experience in Yorkshire. Harry has designed our shepherds hut so that you can lie in bed and enjoy the view out onto the farmland adjoining our paddock. We’ve decided to have two large doors fitting in the centre of the hut to bring the outside in. The tin roof is green, and the exterior is clad in cedar wood to be in keeping with the environment.
