Since we opened in August 2019 many of our visitors have commented on the cleanliness of our shepherds hut. However, Coronavirus has meant that we have increased our already high standards to ensure that we are Covid secure. The measures we have added include the purchase of a fogging machine to keep both us and our visitors safe. The fogging machine emits a fine mist of Covid-19 approved disinfectant to all surfaces including light switches, door handles, curtains and floor mats. It is completely safe to use.
We also ask you to strip the bed, and then place bed linen and towels into the bag provided. This helps to minimise the spread of the virus. We also change the pillow and mattress protectors too. Unnecessary items such as books, maps and cushions have been removed, and we now provide digital information instead of a welcome booklet. Please ask us if you need any local maps or information. Additionally, we have installed anti-viral hand sanitiser spray in the shepherds hut as an extra measure in our efforts to be Covid Secure.
The hot tub is emptied and thoroughly cleaned between guests. Disinfectant is used on all accessible surfaces before being rinsed and refilled. During your stay we will add Bromine to the water to keep it sanitised.
If you are experiencing symptoms either before or during your stay, then please get in touch. Finally, we are aware that many guests like to visit local attractions. Whitby is always a popular but every guest who has been has commented that it was very busy. Cases are increasing in the Whitby area so please try to maintain a 2 metre and wear a mask if you do visit the town. We hope these changes will reassure visitors.
